Lá na gClub

A large crowd gathered on Boyle Park last Saturday to celebrate Lá na gClub. Beneath brilliant sunshine, club members, young and old, took part in training, fun games, Rounders and a Poc Fada. Novelty events such as hang man, sponge throwing, football golf, tog in/out, penalty shots, tug of war and face painting provided entertainment for all. Refreshments were provided in the new club house.

Maudabawn Macra na Feirme were given a warm welcome and congratulated on the recent success of their ballad and drama group at the All Ireland’s.

Droim Dhúin Éire Óg were joined by fellow club member Aogán Ó Fearghail Uachtarán C.L.G. to celebrate the day. Aogán joined in the club race before planting a tree to mark Lá na gClub 2017.

A great morning was had by all and the committee would like to thank all who helped out and turned out for the special occasion.
