Under 13 boys win
The under 13 boys had a good win over Killinkere last Friday night on a scoreline of 5 -14 to 5-12. The much smaller Drumgoon outfit played with the wind In the first half and after playing a energy sapping running ground went in at the break 3-10 to 2-3 ahead. Killinkere came back strong in the second half and with 5 mins to go they took the lead and went 2 points up and it looked like killinkere would push on for the win. But Drumgoon found their second wind and great work by there inspirational midfielder Brian McDermott and Cormac Clerkin switching to half back resulted in Drumgoon scoring 1-02 in injury time and held out for a 2 point win.
