Seniors retain their Intermediate status

The Drumgoon senior men played very well in Ballyhaise on Sunday afternoon when they accounted for Templeport on a scoreline of 0-19 to 0-09. They got off to a flyer and a brace of points from Conor, Dean and Corey seen them race into a 7 points to nil lead. Templeport battled back mainly through good free taking from their No.8 Dylan Edwards to leave the scores 9 points to 6 at half time. In the second half Drumgoon started best again and after very good team work right up the pitch Dylan Hand shot over a beaut closely follow by a similar score from Darragh Lynch. The evergreen Keith Fannin shot over two more, as Keith was showing no effects from having played on the Cavan Masters team who won the All Ireland Spirit title yesterday, beating Galway in the final. With Conor and Barry dominating midfield Drumgoon continued to pile on the pressure and Dean Carroll had the final say, with a good long range point. Scorers for Drumgoon, Conor Moynagh 4, Dean Carroll 4, Keith Fannin 4, Corey Smith 2, Dylan Hand, Mick Mc Donald, Darragh Lynch, Matthew Mc Dermott and Conal Farrell, 1 point each.
