Drumgoon put in a very good performance, to deservedly collect both points on Boyle Park, on Sunday afternoon. Played in near perfect conditions, both sides took some lovely scores, with Keith Fannin in particular, giving an exhibition in the art of point scoring. At half time, Drimgoon were leading on a score line of 0 – 9, to 0 – 5. In the second half Bailieboro staged a comeback with good points from Michael Argue, however Drumgoon struck back with a killer blow, when Paddy Mc Cabe, set up Shane Mc Gorry who rifled the ball past Gilsenan, in the Bailieboro goal.
