Seniors Draw
Drumgoon came away from Bailieboro on Saturday evening with a well deserved draw. Bailieboro started the brighter and went into the lead through a goal from Luke Gilsenan. Drumgoon hit back with two two pointers in a row from team captain Dean Carroll, one from play and one from a free. At half time Bailieboro had their noses in front on a scoreline of 1-7 to 8 points. Exchanges were even in the second half with Bailieboro missing a penalty and Drumgoon having a goal disallowed for a square ball infringement. With 5 minutes to go, Drumgoon were 5 points behind but a good ball in from Conal Farrell seen Conor Moynagh first the ball to the net to set up a great comeback. On the stroke of full time centre half back Matthew Mc Dermott made a long run forward and fisted over the bar to put Drumgoon into the lead. Deep into injury time Bailieboro fought back to equalise.
