Drumgoon playing good possession football soon ran into an early lead, which they were never going to relinquish. With Mick Mc Donald and Paraic Mc Gorry dominating in midfield, Drumgoon continued to attack and with Simon Boyle and Shane Smith in top form the openings for goals soon appeared. The goals came from Brendan Mc Cabe, Shane Smith, Ian Craddock, Henry Reburn and Gene Mc Donald. The points came from  Simon, Paraic, Shane and Mick. There were senior debuts, for Niall Clerkin, Conall Farrell and Christopher Mc Cabe
