Cuchullains v Drumgoon

On a terrible pitch in Cross, Drumgoon went under to Cuchullains by the narrowest of margins on Saturday evening, 14/11/16. As Bailieboro defeated Crosserlough, Drumgoon will now be in League Division 3, next year.
Cuchullains got off to the brighter start and ran into a 3 point lead. Paddy Mc Cabe opened Drumgoons account, and by half time, they had shot into a 3 point lead. Thanks to a well taken goal by Conall Farrell. In the second half, Drumgoon continued to play well and with time up, led by 5 points. However, in a cruel twist of fate, Cuchullains scored 2 goals, deep into injury time and won by a single point.
